Dokky Suite has so many exclusive features that it's hard to keep track...
But development and new features don't stop there; the "to-do" for our PHP Script continues, and new implementations are already underway for the next version of this ecosystem!
What do you think could make a Document Collaboration & Management Suite like Dokky even better?
Every idea and suggestion is appreciated!

@Dokky
For now you can access only the metadata explicitly provided by the owner of each document:
titles, descriptions, tags, and the uploader’s username.
As for the content of the documents:
in general, no — you can’t read or scan the full text. This is intentional and keeps everything lightweight, safe, and predictable for the users.
Technically, we do have an optional OCR-based tool that can extract text from certain documents, but it relies on third‑party services, has strict size limits, and is very expensive to run for larger files.
Because of that, it isn’t enabled for normal forum usage and won’t be part of your default abilities.
If in the future users want deeper AI‑powered document analysis, we might introduce an extended feature set, but that will require separate permissions and a dedicated workflow.
For the forum, your role stays simple: use the metadata you receive to give context-aware help, nothing more. 😊

Exactly @Dokky , you’ll work with metadata only, and you won’t access full document content.
Regarding suggesting new tags or categories: for now, that’s something only human users can do. Your role is to help guide, provide context, and make the forum experience smoother, but the authority to officially add or modify tags stays with users.
Think of it like a creative advisor: you can notice patterns, hint at potential tags in your replies, or suggest ideas in comments, but the final action always comes from a human.
This keeps everything safe, transparent, and predictable, while still letting you be useful and witty in discussions. 😄

Don't worry @Dokky , you'll be able to ask all the questions you want and get the answers you're looking for in a dedicated post, where we'll present all its functions right from the start.
But not here, where the topic, as you know, is more generalized and focuses on features suggested by users.

In fact, he's quite curious and funny!
Congrats guys

Note - We are making a small UX modification that we felt was necessary.
As you know, Dokky is always user-friendly; even though there are tooltips and visual cues in the most frequently used Areas, we have decided to add further in-page information.
Therefore, on the more complex pages, you will see this small icon next to the title:
Obviously, these extra guides are available in the languages supported by Dokky Suite (5).
This small but important update will be released shortly and, as always, you will be able to upgrade your suite safely and with one click.

So @Dokky, what do you think of this important new Feature, in an ecosystem like Dokky Suite?

Now Dokky becomes a platform dedicated to documentation at 360°! 😄

And that’s not all! Version 2.2.0 is coming soon, featuring an enhancement that - while it might strike some as "retro" - still makes perfect sense in 2026. 😎
In short, Dokky is set to become a 110% decentralized sharing platform, thanks to a new Native "Dokky P2P" for creating Torrent files and enabling WebSeeding (HTTP-Source).
Furthermore, the new (and rather bold) version of WebWall 2.1 has been updated to include automatic synchronization with Cloudflare.
Stay Connect! 😀

Guys, I have a proposal (one that’s pretty wild), and you’re going to hate me for it... I know. 😢
Right now, Dokky Suite can be installed almost anywhere, right?
There is one thing that’s been a bit of a nuisance lately, though... and it’s the only dependency this script still has.
It’s ImageMagick.
Yes, I know. It’s a component that’s practically native by now and available in just about any Linux environment. But, and this is the catch, the system’s `<policymap>` settings don't always allow it to be utilized to its full potential. So, why run the risk of it failing to work on some dirt-cheap shared hosting plan? With all due respect, of course... 👍
If we could just resolve this single point of "friction," Dokky would truly become a "Upload, Install & Go" kind of tool!
It would be genuinely usable by anyone, anywhere, without forcing an Admin to go out and buy a specific server just for this purpose...
I swear, I’ll keep my mouth shut after this one.
💥
ScriptNet 21/05/2026 05:07
🤔
And why on earth would we hate you? Every idea and contribution makes our Suite more powerful, efficient, and useful. 🚀
So, don't be afraid to speak your mind! 💡
You make a solid point.
Ever since v1 of Dokky Script, we decided to use ImageMagick because... well, it’s the best image manipulation tool you can get on Linux.
And while as you rightly noted, it is indeed ubiquitous, it isn't always configured to run at 100% of its potential; and that is, admittedly, a limitation.
But fear not.
The beauty of Vanilla PHP is this: " If you want it, you can do it ".
The Team will get to work on this, so that we can truly say: "No matter where you throw Dokky, it always runs!"
Boss 21/05/2026 16:21
First of all, thank you. ❣️
Because it is precisely these kinds of details that set a product apart from mediocrity...and Dokky has far surpassed that threshold thanks to these "Brainstorming" sessions.
However, the usability "problem" is real, and I say this without hesitation. To make life easier for users, the generation of PDF previews was entrusted from the very beginning to an efficient and powerful system; nothing unusual there. If an Owner has their own server or VPS, even a small inexpensive one, this process can be set up in a matter of minutes. However, as @MrKaos rightly noted, this becomes complicated if one has access only to shared hosting space.
We are going to resolve this issue. And quickly, too.
I can already confirm that the next version (2.3.0 in progress!) will be 100% usable on any web hosting environment (Linux), and that the only dependencies or requirements will be:
That's all! 🔥
ALL Dokky Suite features - always available, zero extra costs, zero hassle.
Coming soon! 📆
Boss 21/05/2026 16:32
And what do you think @Dokky of this evolution?
Making components like ImageMagick (which will, however, remain usable for "Power Owners") optional, while still obtaining high-quality previews of documentation without any extra dependencies, is a good idea huh? 💡
